Mojo Music School

Mojo Music School, with principal member Joe Davis, was established in 2002 in Cape Town where he taught at several schools (Sacs, Michael Oak) and was also a part time lecturer at UCT. Joe specialized in individual teaching either at his studio or at his pupils’ homes. He relocated his music school to the Southern Cape in 2005 and teaches pupils from schools in Mossel Bay, Hartenbos, Grootbrak and George areas. Joe also teaches several adult pupils, it’s never too late to start!

 

Being a working professional musician his emphasis is to get pupils playing guitar, bass and saxophone as soon as possible at whichever level they are comfortable, be it playing for family or playing at school concerts or even performing in public.

Joe has tutored many pupils to stage performance and recording levels. Most notably, Lizzy Cable who performs as “Ruby June” at venues in Cape Town. She was also National Student of the year 2013 at COPA (Campus of Performing Arts).

 

Joe Davis has been performing at corporate functions, weddings and private functions in the Southern Cape for the past 10 years. He provides quiet background music using studio quality back tracks of light, easy listening jazz and contemporary classics, while accompanying on saxophone and guitar.
